KWFinder Review – SEO Needs And Right Keyword Research Tool For You!

KWFinder Review

Generally, I really like the features of KWFinder and think it is worth your time checking out. It does, however, come with a lot of cons, which I will cover in this post. I have been using KWFinder for over a year now, and only a few keyword research tools can compete when it comes to accuracy and cost vs. benefit.

First of all, I will give you a quick overview of KWFinder and why you should use it.

KWFinder: What Is It?

KWFinder is an extremely accurate keyword research tool that can find long-tail keywords in just seconds. It was created by Pádraig Ó Méalóid and is a great alternative to Google Keyword Planner.

What Makes It Different From Other Software?

In my opinion, KWFinder is different from other software because of two main factors:

Accuracy
Even if you use it for broad matches, the keyword doesn’t exist if you don’t get any results (this happens more often than not).
quality
The quality of the keywords that are returned in terms of cost vs. benefit (I’ll touch on this later).
Even though there may be one or two new features each week with each update, some pros and cons remain steady throughout time; I will go through these in full detail.

Products & Features

There are a few products and features that I would like to mention. I will also give my thoughts on them as well as compare them to other tools.

#1- Backlink Checker
  •  I think this is great, especially for beginner/intermediate marketers who are just starting with link building or link earning (it’s free to use).

#2- KW Finder
  • This is the tool that scans Google’s autocomplete results for suggestions, much like Ubersuggest or KeywordTool.io.
  • It also takes into account search volume! This tool only returns overall match results, though, unlike Ubersuggest and KeywordTool.io.

#3- On-Page Checker
  • Similar to Long Tail Pro’s keyword checker, except it only checks your URL and not your title or meta description. Do remember that unique content is better than copied content!
  • You don’t want Google finding out about it. If you have copied content, KWFinder will give you a warning.

#4- Pricing
  • The pricing of this tool is very reasonable.
  • It’s very cheap compared to some other, more popular tools, especially for what you get in return!

#5- KW Index
  • This tool is quite different from the others. It doesn’t provide any keyword suggestions/ideas but rather shows you how competitive a market is and gives useful info such as whois or server data (if available).

The Good And The Ugly

Now that I’ve talked about what KWFinder offers, it’s time to go through the cons. There are some good things about this tool, but there are also a lot of bad things! Keep reading if you want to find out more.

The Good:

  • KW Index: This is my favorite feature and one of the most important features, in my opinion. Without giving away any Google-based keyword suggestions, it provides information on how competitive certain keywords are, which is very useful for beginners/experienced marketers alike. It will show search volume, CPC, Competition %, and even whois data (if available). If your main goal is to rank for high competition keywords, then having access to this can be more powerful than any other keyword suggestion tool you have used.
  • KWFinder: is a Google-approved keyword research tool: In my opinion, this is a great thing to have as it saves a lot of time and effort that you would otherwise have to spend going through the long-winded process of getting your site/app approved by Google. Generally, it’s just a one-time deal, and once done, you’re good to go.

The Bad:

  • Limited options: As great as having access to only clean results is, I believe it limits KWFinder in certain areas compared to other tools such as Long Tail Pro (more on this later). For example, if I type in ‘diet’ or ‘fitness,’ I will not get suggestions such as ‘ vegan diet’ or ‘lose weight fast. It can be quite limiting at times, especially for beginners who want to try out different niches.

Multiple Research Options

There are a few ways you can go about finding your target keywords. You have the option of going to their advanced search section or using their index tool. Here’s how it works:

1

Advanced Search:

In this section, you will find a box at the top where you type in what you want to research. As I mentioned earlier, you can select from a wide range of terms such as ‘paleo diet’ or ‘lose weight fast. As you type, the results will populate on the left-hand side. The more specific your search query is, the fewer suggestions you will get.

2

KW Index:

After clicking on the suggested keyword, if Google doesn’t allow for it (i.e., the site is down), then you will be shown ‘No Data.’ You can still click on this, but if Google doesn’t give Brownie points, then why should KWFinder?

If you do get lucky and Google does allow access, then you will see something like this:

Easy Filtering And Sorting

To make things easier for those who might not know what they’re looking for, KWFinder has a very helpful filtering feature. To use it, click on the funnel button near ‘Get Queries.’ You will see these options:

Keyword Difficulty (rel) Monthly Searches
as the name suggests, filter by keywords that are relatively easy to rank for. This can be useful if you’re starting and need some low-competition keywords. It will also show you by percentage!  If you have specific budget limits, then this allows you to sort through your results according to how many people are searching, along with CPC information

Competition Global Monthly Advertisements
This shows you which of your results have the highest % of competition from other websites This shows you a metric on how much advertisers are paying to get their ads in front of targeted users. It can sometimes be a good indicator of how competitive a keyword is.

Local Monthly Advertisements
This is similar to Global but shows you local monthly adverts instead of global ones. As I said earlier, this can be useful if your business caters to certain geographical locations or cities/counties, etc., that you want to rank for.
